Exploring New Retail, Tapping Non-drug Segments | Kunming Pharmacy Association and Kunming Yangdao Biotech Visit Lixiang Group Successfully

On April 24, 2023, the Kunming Pharmacy Association’s Grassroots Pharmaceutical Education Committee and Kunming Yangdao Biotech visited Lixiang Group for a successful inspection, themed “Exploring New Retail, Tapping Non-drug Segments.”

Led by Chairman Fu Weiwei, the delegation first toured Lixiang Group’s cosmetics workshop, disinfection product workshop, medical device workshop, daily necessities workshop, food workshop and R&D laboratories.

After the workshop tour, a seminar was held in the second-floor conference room, discussing “Exploring New Retail, Tapping Non-drug Segments” from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm, with representatives from multiple pharmaceutical companies expressing their views.

Retail pharmacies are an essential part of social life, and healthcare is increasingly expanding into the broader health field. Pharmacies should seize the important opportunity of national health-service development, broadening from narrow drug retail into the health service industry. Drug and non-drug sales are the two pillars of pharmacy operation — the former primarily for social benefit, the latter for economic benefit.

A representative from Yunnan Longma Pharmaceutical shared that since encountering Yunnan Qicao products in February 2023, the company’s stores have achieved significant performance growth thanks to the rich product categories, excellent quality and the brand’s marketing and solution support.
